Welcome to Physician Life Management
I am glad you came by. This website was built to support our new book The Physician’s Guide to Life Managment. I needed a place to guide you to up to date information after the book was published. If you are new to this website, this page should help you to navigate through this rapidly growing site.
This is a choose your own adventure type of website. Pick a broad area and dig in. You will also find some random articles/posts because our lives are diverse.
There are four main areas of a physician’s life which overlap.
Rest – This includes sleep, fatigue, stress, and burnout.
Life – This in your homelife – the life you lead outside of medicine.
Training – This is your arduous training through your pre-med training, medical school, and residency/fellowship.
Career – This is when you finish your training and finally get to be a “real doctor”. This is when life gets better, but not necessarily easier.
We Tagged Our Articles/Posts
We have placed tags on all our articles and posts because many topics overlap several areas of your life. If there is a topic that we are missing, please take the time to drop me an e-mail at our contact page.
